of the September 11, 2001 attacks, Danny B started writing again. Five Years Past is a song that reflects the uneasiness people were and still are feeling since that terrible day in September of 2001. The song describes the memory of what happened that horrific day and what one feels when hearing a plane overhead or how you are startled and jump at a loud noise. The attacks caused so much devastation and heartache, yet five years past that fateful day, as the part of the lyrics clearly depict:

There’s still an empty space, at zero ground
Where that day of devastation turned our lives upside down
There’s an empty space, in a Pennsylvania field
Where stands a monument of heroes, whose answer no was sealed
In the 5 years past that 9-11th morning, when we stood in tears and watched the sky fall
We don’t have to close our eyes, to relive it all
There are still empty hearts, with memories that still last
Filled with tears, fears and anger, these tragedies came so fast

Danny B recorded this song and included it with his original song "Nine-Eleven" on CD with the proceeds of sales going to Operation Patriot. He first performed this song at Operation Patriot fundraiser on September 9th, 2006 and has performed both "Nine-Eleven" and "Five Years Past" for Operation Patriot since.

A temporary monument was placed in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania where United Airlines flight #93 crashed as a memorial to the 40 victims who stopped the plane from reaching its intended target. A permanent memorial will be made to honor the heroes of Flight 93 and is scheduled to be completed by the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Also underway is a memorial at ground zero honoring the almost 3,000 victims with an expected completion date of September 11, 2011 to mark the 10th anniversary of the 9-11-2001 tragedies, however it is unclear at this time if that anticipated completion date will be met. The Pentagon's outdoor memorial of the crash of American Airlines flight 77 and the 184 innocent victims was completed September 11, 2008.
