The attacks of 9-11-2001 had a profound impact on all of America. People just didn't know how to handle their feelings and emotions over the devastation that had occurred. Danny B put his feelings and emotions in song. On the evening of 9-11-2001 Danny B put those feelings and emotions in word and melody and created a ballad with a haunting dynamic melody and powerful lyrics. Over the next couple of days he fine tuned the song to make ready for recording. Before time could be booked at the studio, Danny B performed the song in a public venue at the Town of Pittsford. The Town of Pittsford has an annual street festival every year called Pittsford Celebrates. There was much debate as to whether the event should be cancelled. With the urging of many, and because of the horrific tragedies that occurred on September 11, 2001 in New York City, Pennsylvania and the Pentagon; the festival was renamed that year as Pittsford Celebrates America. The event continued as scheduled with the bands and vendors that had already been planned. One of those bands was Barnes and Pray, Danny B's band at that time. BUT, the event included a very special candlelight vigil. This community gathering showed the spirit that all of America shows, supporting our firefighters, police, military and the families who lost love ones on that fateful day. The candlelight vigil brought out thousands, old and young alike, joining together, to listen to prayer, Danny B's song "Nine-Eleven" and to join in singing God Bless America.
In the following days, he recorded the song in the studio and produced CD's for sale with the proceeds then going to the General 9-11 Funds. Danny B and his song were featured on local TV stations, and in the local papers, and his song was also aired on the radio. Since that time, Danny B has performed the song for Operation Patriot's September bike run and festival giving the proceeds from the sale of the CD go to Operation Patriot. Operation Patriot Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
